Hi all
Sorry it’s been a while since I was last here. I haven’t had much time to stamp lately although I do have a few little projects to get up for you but really need to stay home during the day to take pics of them!
I thought I’d share this card I made for my good friend Julie for her birthday a few weeks back. It was my first play with the new Owl Punch and he is certainly very cute indeed!

Stamp set: A Word For You
Inks: Melon Mambo
Cardstock: Pacific Point, Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Big Shot Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder, Melon Mambo spotted ribbon (retired), 1 3/4″ circle punch, 1 3/8″ circle punch, googly eyes (non SU!)
I have punched out a hole using my 1 3/8″ circle punch and then layered it with a cut-out rim of the 1 3/4″ circle punch and popped him up on dimensionals on the inside of the front of the card. It’s not the best pic but I think you can see what I mean.
I hope he puts a smile on your face!
Cheers

Finally I’m getting around to spreading the good news about our amazing Stamp-a-thon day held early last month to raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. I’m sorry I haven’t had a chance to post our results and projects since the big day.
As you know Makeesha flew over from Cairns to once again head up the day for us. It was so great to spend time with her again and we managed to have a wonderful dinner with great friends too which was pretty special and kept us laughing all night.
This year we had a full house again of 96 ladies and with everyone wearing something pink and our balloons and streamers and gorgeous pink goody bags, it was a bright and cheery and exciting atmosphere all day long.

The guests moved along each table completing seven projects throughout the day, plus one table to enjoy a leisurely flick through the brand new catalogue and place their orders. It certainly was exciting to see the buzz created by the new catty and products.
Once again Keesh, Charmaine and I were in awe of the ladies who gave up their time and helped on the day. To my ever supportive mum, Keesh’s mum and Grandma, my two team ladies Sarah and Lauren and Char’s downline Ann who worked non stop throughout the day to ensure everything went off without a hitch – a huge thank you! We just couldn’t have done it without you. Also behind the scenes, my friend Julie for helping me cut and bag all my projects, plus my ever faithful downline Vick, my sister Jule, Lee-Anne and Monnie who all stayed and helped us sort out and clean up at the end of the day. If I missed anyone else who helped us clean up – thank you!!! A big thank you again this year to Lee-Anne Barry for her generous donation of another delicious basket of stamping goodies to help us raise funds.
A huge thank you to our hubbies Rod, Grant and Paul who put up with many long nights of cutting and bagging and organising and more than likely the odd whinge! An extra thanks to Grant for his efforts at the hall with the setting up and cleaning up.
It takes an awful lot of effort to put this day together but it’s such a wonderful feeling of ‘giving back’ for me, it’s all worth it.
Okay, so without further ado, the total raised for the National Breast Cancer Foundation was $5,476.93! This is an amazing effort and just over $1000 more than last year so for those of who participated in any way, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
I’ll be back soon with some of the projects!

Hi y’all. It’s been a while hey? I seem to have been swallowed up by a big wave of ’stuff’ but think I’m just about coming out of the other end now so hopefully you’ll see more of me and my creations popping up more regularly. My return to part time work at the same time as Stamp-a-thon then heading into school holidays sort of threw me for a while but I hope to gather a bit more routine now that school is back and I’m settling into my new role.
I have lots to tell and share and hope to be back soon with all the projects and goss from Stamp-a-thon which seems like eons ago now. Anyway last night I had so much to do; cleaning, folding washing, etc so I decided to ignore the lot and have a play with some new goodies instead!
I had been wanting to try out the new Big Shot embossing folders by inking them and running them through and so I combined that technique with a challenge for Just Add Ink. The challenge this week was to use something pink in honour of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month and also to add some bling.
Here is my card:

Stamp set: Afterthoughts (hostess)
Inks: Melon Mambo
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black
Accessories: Elegant Bouquet embossing folder, Big Shot, wide White satin ribbon, clear rhinestone brads, brayer, Black Stampin’ Write marker
Technique: Inked embossing folder
Here is a close up of the embossing. To create this effect I inked up the inside of the top side of the embossing folder and quickly popped my piece of Whisper White inside and ran it through the Big Shot. I love the result and I am definitely going to play with this again!

This card was inspired by one I made on the weekend for my great friend (and downline) Vick who celebrated her 50th birthday with a huge rock and roll party. My inspiration came from the gorgeous little box her gift was packaged in so I went with pink, black and white to match. I’ve changed it a little and added the bling for this challenge.
I hope you like it! Happy stamping.

Hey there all. I hope you are having a great day. I told you I’d be back with some exciting news. Well… it’s exciting for ME! A while back I received an email out of the blue from Stampin’ Royalty asking if I’d like to be a Guest Designer with them. I have always loved their challenges and I’m thrilled to be a guest designer for this week.
This week’s challenge is ’stitching madness’ so I’ve chosen to drag out my machine and use the real thing. You can use faux stitching, hand stitching or machine stitching – whatever takes your fancy!
Here’s my card:

Stamp set: For You Flower
Cardstock: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie textured, Mambo Melon
Accessories: Stampin’ Write markers, Bright buttons, Brights DSP Patterns Stack, Fancy Flower punch, 1 3/4″ circle punch, Pumpkin Pie ribbon, machine stitching
I hope you likey? I know it’s very simple but I love these crisp new Brights colours together!
Don’t forget to pop on over to Stampin’ Royalty and see what the girls have been up to and have a go yourself!

Hiya!
Well what a busy busy time I’ve had of late… I’m finally recovering from the hype of Stamp-a-thon and will be back soon to share with you some pics of our projects and our final tally for donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. We had a fantastic day filled with lots of laughs, great fun, loads of give aways, not to mention stamping and a tremendous feeling of achievement knowing we were supporting such a great cause.
I’ve also landed myself a part time job so I’m juggling getting used to working in AND out of the home. More of that later too when I have a few more minutes to spare.
Right now I thought I’d share a card with you using one of the new sets and In-Colour Pear Pizzazz from the new catalogue.

Stamps: Party This Way
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
Inks: Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories: Greenhouse Gala DSP, Scallop Edge punch, Stampin’ Write marker
This is a fantastic set for quick and easy birthday cards and also has a few other groovy birthday stamps in the set. Check it out on page 35 of the new Ideas Book & Catalogue.
I’ll be back very soon with some exciting news.
Cheers

Hi all. Last weekend I was lucky enough to escape reality and stamp it up with a great bunch of girls at the Stamparoo’s stamp camp. Ngaire Anderson heads up the Stamparoos and this is our third annual camp, which is open to all of Ngaire’s girls (that’s me) and our teams.
We certainly had lots of laughs, swaps, projects and food and I just love getting together with those girls. What a great bunch!
Here is a pic of us late Sat afternoon when a few had already left and we realised we didn’t get a photo.

There were over 35 of us this year and the theme was Christmas in July. On Friday night we met for dinner and then set about on our first project by Sue Joyce. Hats off to Sue who had to put up with us all shouting out for her at once while working out the measurements. It has a little battery operated flickering tealight in it which makes the embossed vellum very effective.
Next up we got underway with the swaps and then headed over to the rooms to find a bed, pj’s and slippers and settle in for some late night laughs! On Saturday we were treated to this little meander book project from Jenny Chilton.

We also had the pleasure of making a gorgeous scrap album under the guidance of Pat Carr but unfortunately I haven’t finished decorating mine so no pics just yet. It is certainly something I would like to do in a class format and look forward to trying it out again with the new scrapping kit albums we get in the new catalogue. I promise to be back with pics real soon.
After lunch it was back to the swaps. Here is a pic of my bundle. What a talented group we have! Thanks to all the girls for their friendship, company and wonderful contribution to our swap files.

Finally here is my swap. I tried to choose something that didn’t involve retiring DSP or colours however I never thought Spotlight in Christmas would be retiring so I was way off with that one.

Stamp sets: Spotlight on Christmas, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Cardstock: Whisper White, Kraft, Real Red
Inks: Real Red
Accessories: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder, Scallop circle punch, 1 3/8″ and 1 1/4″ circles punches, Word Window punch, paper piercer, mat pack, wide Real Red ribbon
Don’t forget to check out the Last Chance List. A lot of the items in this post are retiring so it’s a great time to grab a bargain. You can see the full list here.
Also just a quick note to let you know that Stamp-a-thon is booking out quickly so make sure you get your registration form in soon.
I’m a bit under the weather with a head cold at the moment so I’m off for an early night and hope you have a great weekend.
Cheers

The eagerly awaited new Ideas Book & Catalogue is just around the corner, launching next month, so Stampin’ Up! is clearing out hundreds of items at discounted prices, with some reduced by as much as 50%. Due to the colour changes in the next catty, there are loads of specials to be had on retiring products, but only while stocks last.
I’m sorry to say some of my all time favourites are going, such as Organic Outlines, Wild About You and Spotlight on Christmas as well as some great accessories such as the Pretties Kit and Die Cuts. No doubt we’ll see some amazing replacement items, but this is definitely your LAST CHANCE to grab some wonderful products.
Don’t forget that with the Colour Renovation this is also your last chance to grab those ink re-fills or card stock faves before they are gone forever!
Click here to view the entire Last Chance list. You might want to grab a cuppa and a seat coz it’s 8 pages long!
Email or call me to place your Last Chance orders before stocks are sold out.
Have a fantastic week girls! I’ll be back one day soon with some pics from our stamp camp on the weekend but right now I have some rest to catch up on. We stamped (and laughed and chatted) up a storm and I’m exhausted!
Cheers
