My new room!
Howdy! I thought I’d finally share some pics of my newly created craft room and even though the pics don’t do it justice, I know some of you are keen to see.
This room had two yellow and two blue walls with a train wallpaper freeze before we started and horrible grey carpet so now it is a fresh Smoked Oyster with latte carpet and is nice and bright and open. The room has a lot of angled walls which meant it was a bit difficult to use the old shelving system so Paul created entirely new ones that actually attach to the wall and I can adjust the shelving up or down to suit what I’m storing.

It looks quite small in this pic but the desk actually runs the length of one wall and almost the length of the other, leaving enough room to access to the robe. The desk against the window is really quite deep so it is a good working area and I can manage my computer and my crafting on the one desk now! I have told Paul all I need is a matress and a mini bar and I’m never coming out!!
The first shelf above the desk is a narrow one for my stamp sets and also it gives access to the long desk top without me hitting my head and allows me to have a friend over to play too! The other shelves are much deeper allowing bigger storage boxes etc. I am still working out the best way to store some items but it certainly is lovely to sit in here and work (or play).

I managed to pinch one of the bookcases from the boys room shuffle and that works a treat too. I’m not showing you the other side of the room yet as it’s a bit of a mess but it has more shelving and stores some of our camping gear too. There are still a few things to iron out like a blind and some better lighting but it’s all good for the moment.
Anyway that’s my show and tell for tonight. Now all I need is some time to sit and create!

I sooooo wish I had an area like this to work in Lou – it looks fantastic! I reckon you just need to put a single bed on the other side, for all those late night stampin’ times! lol

Since I have already created in the new space I know how well it works. Is your hubby available for hire, can’t get mine to do anything for me though he is always willing to help everybody else.
Enjoy your space.
