Trendy Trees
As part of the Convention package I received the gorgeous stamp set Trendy Trees and absolutely loved the make and takes we made with them. This set was high up on my wishlist so to receive it at Convention was a bonus!
Today was the first time I’ve had to sit down and play with it since I got home, and this is what I came up with. I wanted to do something strong and masculine and so I just chose Chocolate Chip and Close to Cocoa with Very Vanilla topped off with some twill tape and vintage brads.
Stamp Set: Trendy Trees
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Basic Black and Very Vanilla
Accessories: Twill Tape, Vintage brads, Stamp-a-ma-jig
Technique: Direc to paper
Next I had a play with a sketch challenge from Taylored Expressions. I had a lot of trouble with this even though it is quite a basic sketch. I am a very uniform kind of stamper and I like to have things lined up and straight, so layering off centre is just so incredibly difficult for me. I guess that’s why these are called ‘challenges’ hey?
Stamp Set: Trendy Trees, Sanded
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose and Tangerine Tango
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango, Sweet Always DSP
Accessories: Regal Rose ribbon, Scallop Edge punch, Stamp-a-ma-jig
Technique: Rock’n'roll
Thanks for looking. I am off to bed now as my little cherubs will have to be up bright and early tomorrow as they are having dental surgery. It’s a bit scary to put your babies under anaesthetic for the first time so a few prayers and good thoughts our way would be much appreciated. Right now my biggest concern is telling my perpetual grazer Sam that he has to fast! Wish me luck!

You’ve done a great job Lou. They are amazing. I totally hear you on the ‘centered’ thing. My son had dental surgery aged 4…and it is v scary. Know that kids are v v resillient and you can gain much strength fm them.
