Thanks for the feedback
Firstly, I just want to thank you all so much for your wonderful comments and emails about my blog. I’m having lots of fun with it and I appreciate your feedback.
Thanks also to my ’no-so-crafty’ friends and family members who said they loved it but had no idea what I was talking about. I didn’t realise we had so much jargon in stamping land but obviously we do!
Ok, so here are a few items I have been working on over the past few weeks.
This card is made using the new Always set from the Mini Catalogue. Although personally I’m not really a big fan of heart images, I just love this one and the detail is beautiful. It looks magnficent embossed (I promise to load a sample as soon as I remember to photograph them before I give them away) and well, anything made with Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa and Pretty in Pink is always a favourite of mine. I’ve also added some Soft Subtle brads, the Chocolate Taffeta ribbon and used the corner rounder punch to make the scallop edge.

This is also the same Always stamp set with the Paisley Background stamp and was made for a Colour Challenge, using Blue Bayou, Sage Shadow and Pumpkin Pie. The colours have not come through very well in this pic but I was really happy with the end result given it was my first colour challenge.

This is a groovy little gift card holder we made at a project workshop last week (Hi Kylie!) and I thought it was a great idea when I saw it. So many gifts these days are vouchers/gift cards and this is so simple and easy to make. Here I’ve used the Bold Brights colours of Tempting Turquoise, Real Red and some of the East Cost Prep designer papers. The Word Window punch creates the slot for the card and also the sentiment on the front. If you would like the measurements and instructions, please email me or leave a comment and I would be happy to pass it on to you.
Well, I had best hit the hay so I can get the boys up for hockey in the morning. Nice chatting. Back soon.
Lou
